Nicole Halton
Conductor

With years of experience leading and conducting choirs, Nicole is passionate about everyone having the opportunity to be involved in music. Starting out as a violinist, Nicole then went on to take up piano lessons and found her love of singing through playing lead roles in local performances of musicals such as Les Miserables and Beauty and the Beast. After her early successes with Glossopdale Senior Choir, Nicole was able to take her conducting skills further by becoming a member of the Association of British Choral Directors. She then went on to teach piano and singing in a variety of educational settings for six years. Nicole is now a music coordinator and primary teacher.

Ed Simpson
Accompanist

Ed is from Derbyshire and studied at Chetham's School of Music for ten years. He was a choristor at Manchester Cathedral for five years where he had the opportunity to sing for BBC's Songs of Praise, the Queen's Golden Jubilee service and regular BBC 3 radio broadcasts- as well as touring Paris and singing at Notre Dame and Saint Sulpice. At the age of 13, Ed chose to focus on bassoon as his first study, then later the organ and contra bassoon. His love of jazz encouraged him to study jazz piano in his final two years of Chetham's. Ed now has a successful piano and singing tuition business. He has worked as an accompanist for the Kinder Children's Choirs for over 5 years.
